"Gillian at CatCo has looked after our cats on several occasions. She always comes to the house before we go away to be introduced to the cats and to learn their routine, find out what food each one prefers, and to see what their favourite toys are.

She is very professional and reliable and has a very calm demeanour which puts our cats at ease. One of our cats is not particularly cooperative and for one holiday period required medication, but Gillian was able to give him his tablets without any problem. Gillian doesn't just give the cats a quick feed and then leave, but spends enough time with them at each visit to make sure they are eating properly, to play with them and to make sure they are happy and well. In this way she forms a bond with them, even with our more nervous cat.

Another good thing about the service that Gillian provides is that, as well as looking after our cats, she carries out some basic security tasks such as opening and closing the curtains, turning lights off and on, and lifting the mail. So the house never looks unoccupied.

One Easter holiday our return was delayed due to a volcanic eruption in Iceland which grounded all flights. We were given an alternative flight a full week after our scheduled one. Gillian went out of her way to continue to look after our cats for the extra week at extremely short notice at a very busy time of year for her. We will never forget her generosity in doing that.

As veterinary surgeons with a particular interest in cat behaviour and welfare, we are not easy people to please when it comes to caring for our cats, but we can highly recommend Gillian at CatCo. She is very patient and caring and provides an excellent service. Don't hesitate to employ her." close

"This is the first time we have used a cat sitting service for our cats, who are still quite young. We were away for two weeks and wanted to ensure that they were cared for in their own, familiar environment. "We have used Gillian's excellent service several times now for our cat Larry, and would have no hesitation in engaging her service again.
Larry is quite a nervous cat, being a house cat, and doesn't have much contact with others. He is also quite dependant so we always feel guilty going on holiday and leaving him.
After years of asking neighbours/family/friends to pop in and feed him we decided that it was probably best to stop annoying them and use Gillian's service. Larry is definitely a happier cat now on our return"

It gives me great pleasure to be able to write a reference for the services of Gillian Neave and CatCo.

Gillian is absolutely the best! I would urge you to look no further and phone her immediately to arrange a visit.

Over the past four years Gillian has taken care of two of my older cats;
and, more recently, two young and feisty kittens. I always enjoy the planning visit with her as it is a joy to watch her interact with my cats. She so clearly loves taking care of them. She takes time to get to know their individual personalities. When I am away she ensures that I am sent regular updates and photos.

As a fellow animal lover I am sure, like me, you want to be able to feel totally confident that your cats are just fine when you are away. I never worry about my two when Gillian is taking care of them.

She takes time to gather all the important information she needs to see to their best interests. It is very helpful that she knows my vet; however, if she didn't, I would have total confidence that she would be able to manage anything that required extra support.

The fact that she has been awarded her fourth National Petsitter Merit Award just reinforces the excellence of Gillian's service. She provides fantastic value for, what I consider, a very reasonable pricing structure.
